A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway
My rating: 1 of 5 stars
Hemingway is boring. Pardon my French, but he is. His supposed simple style is so bereft of any excitement that it seems like a story that your bored uncle would cough up, unsolicited, when seated next to the fireplace during an indeterminate family gathering. He's not bad. I mean, it's Hemingway, the man earned his stripes. Besides, who am I to judge the greats? All I'm saying is, that to me, he doesn't entice. He does not want me to keep on reading. Hence, I didn't finish this book. Sorry Ernest.
